It's a ....... {Gender Reveal}

 So Saturday was the big awaited day! We were not the only ones totally on pins and needles anticipating the gender reveal of our little one..... Sean's parents , sister, and cousin Heather came down from San Diego to go to the appointment with us. There is only one word to describe how it was.....amazing. It was the first time we have "seen" the baby since the very first ultrasound when it was only 8 weeks along, and just a little "gummy bear", with no details on the ultra sound pictures. This time it was a whole new experience, and there was not a dry eye in the house. I will share those pictures in a sec.... but first! The gender reveal party.....

Today we went to San Diego to share the big news with the rest of family. So I thought I would share those pictures with you first so you can be surprised along with them.

First was the "team picture" where everyone held up signs for what team they thought the baby was. And for the family that was there at the reveal, they stuck with their original guesses! (Team girl in the lead!)

The big cupcake with the big surprise inside. The filling was pink for girl, and blue for boy!

And now for a few pictures of OUR big reveal on Saturday at the ultra sound.

The place we went to was so cute! I had my own little tv over with the ultra sound tech, and the family got cozy on the couch with a big plasma TV infront of them - watching everything I was.

 Like I said, not a dry eye in the house.

Sean and our fave cousin Heather watching the baby stretch and move around. It was so perfect!

And a few pictures of the big guy!

ummm yeah, so the ultra sound tech said he was a very "big" boy!!! And he was not a bit shy!

LOVE this one!!! He is amazing!!!!

We went out to lunch after we found out and of course I had to share the news with our waiter, and he brought us a baby sized treat to celebrate ;)

So I just have to say that we are so in love with OUR SON!!! He is just perfect.
I am just about 1/2 way done with my pregnancy, and all his little movements on the ultra sound were more than enough to leave me breathless and in tears (and I was not the only one lol).
Theres really not a whole lot more I can say about it other than I am in awe of how amazing he is, and how I just have this perfect little guy in my belly growing, stretching, covering his face, kicking, and being awesome in general.

Oh! and as I promised.... We are going to call this adorable little guy : Jordan Rockett Van Bussel <3

Thanks to all of our friends and family for all of the love and support, the 3 of us love you so so much!!!

{ Pink or Blue? }

So I am torn between whether I think the little baby I am growing is a boy or a girl. At first I was pretty convinced that it was a boy – only because I have had my future daughter named, and have had everything down to her bedroom details planned out in my head for YEARS. And whenever Sean and I have talked about our future child in the past, we have always assumed the first baby would be a girl – always talking about what “she” was going to do, or what we were going to do with “her”.  But then recently I started to really think it was a girl…..along with A LOT of other people. But Sean is pretty sure it’s a boy! But in all honestly, of course we will be beyond happy with whatever God decides to give us. I know the baby will be amazing regardless of the gender!

So any way, we have our gender ultra sound scheduled for this weekend and we just can’t wait!!! I think the most exciting thing for the both of us is to actually call the baby by name! Oh and um, of course start shopping!! So exciting!!!

Alrighty, so…… what do you think? Is “Baby VB” a boy or a girl?

The answer will be posted early next week after we get the chance to share with our family first! :)
Oh and we have both names picked out (boy or girl), so I will be sure to share that fun detail too!

I will leave you with a couple pictures that a friend and my hubby shot of me during our portrait sessions over the last couple weekends. Baby and I make a good photo team (and Sean too of course!) ;)

Fullerton Wedding Photography - { Carrie : Bridal Portraits! }

Carrie is awesome.

She e-mailed me about some bridal portraits after she found my web site, and booked me. We had not even chatted it up on the phone, or met in person. She just booked me based on what she had seen, that’s when I knew that she had to be pretty cool. Then a few weeks before her big day we figured it would be fun to meet up over coffee and chat about her big day and the portraits she wanted…and well, she was even cooler than I imagined. Our short little meeting some how turned into 4 hours of us sharing our life stories with each other, and declaring that we were best friends at least 8 times. I have to admit that after our meeting, I was more than a little bummed that we had not met earlier and I that was not booked to be her wedding photographer for the whole day. But I could not be any more excited that she had the brilliant idea to book me for some extra pictures of her getting ready with her girls as a bonus session for the day! :)

My buddy Amber Fox came along to hang out and grab some shots of Carrie and her girls getting ready with me (thanks so much Amber, you are the best!!) . We showed up to this hotel room with fab light and a bunch of hotties….totally a photographers dream. We had a fantastic time hanging out and working with these fun ladies!

And just to wrap it up, I just want to say that I am so excited about these pictures. Carrie pulled off this “sexy vintage” look all too well. Love you Carrie!!

Now for the photo proof of how awesome Carrie really is....I'm sure you will fall in love with her just like I did! :)

Is her dress not Ah-mazing!?
