Hi friends!!

So I am about to jump into my 5th year shooting weddings...yeah, pretty darn awesome! So I figured it was about time that I started sprucing up my on-line game a bit, and I am so so sooooo excited to share that we have a brand new pretty blog! I can't tell you how amazing it feels to have a little piece of internet home that just feels so much like "me". It just makes me so happy to be able to show my blog readers who I really am. :)

Orange County Maternity Photographer - {Destiny - Expecting!}

Can I just start off by saying I much I just loved this sweet maternity session!? Everything about it was right up my alley and just a dream to photograph! So needless to say, I am super excited to share these with you! :)

Destiny and her hubby are about ready to welcome her first baby Willow into their little family, and I was so delighted to photograph her! Destiny and I went to high school together and hadden't seen each other since we graduated, so I had a fantastic time walking around with her (and her sweet pup Sophie), and catching up. Destiny is just such a beautiful lady on the inside and out!

Destiny, I hope you enjoy your preview - and I just can't wait to photograph precious little Willow when she arrives! :)

Whittier Wedding Photography - { Christy & Ben : Married! }

I was so excited to capture the love of Christy & Ben on their big day! And my old friend made such a beautiful bride! We felt pretty lucky to be the ones to photograph their ceremony and portraits! :)

Christy and Ben definitely had one of the biggest bridal parties we have photographed so far, and it was SO fun! Christy and I go way back, so it was pretty cool that 3 of my other fun girlfriends were in the bridal party too! :)

The moment that we started taking Christy & Ben's portraits, the clouds gave out on us and it really started to rain! But we worked quickly got in a few portraits as fast as we could! :)

As we were heading back to the car to get out of the rain I snagged these last few shots along the Long Beach harbor, and they are some of my very favorites of the day! :)

Claremont Engagement Photography - { Brittney and Seth : Engaged! }

A few weeks ago I got to head out to Claremont to hang out with Brittney and Seth for their engagement portraits! The day was pretty rainy and super chilly, but we thought we would give it a go anyway, and I am SO glad we did! (despite me ending up in urgent care the following day ;) ).

The cloudy day made for some lovely light for this super sweet couple, and I loved that we had to pull out the umbrellas every once in a while. I had so much fun checking our their home town where they both grew up, met in school and fell in love. :)

Temecula Wedding Photography - { Stephanie & Louie : Married! }

To say that we LOVE Stephanie and Louie would be an understatement. These two are so fun and down to earth....and their wedding day reflected their personalities perfectly. We got to Monteleone Meadows and we were so excited about this adorable venue! Stephanie and Louie did a first look on an adorable dock (and first looks always mean a calm , easy day) , and the day just flowed so perfectly with lots of time for plenty of portraits in the most dreamy light. Speaking of portraits....Sean had noticed an old rope swing while checking out the venue, and casually mentioned it to Stephanie as we were doing their formal portraits , and Stephanie exclaimed "Where is it!? I am so getting on it!" , and that ladies and gents - its how to get some super fun portraits (some of my favorites I have ever taken, by FAR!) .

Stephanie and Louie, thank you SO much for choosing us to be part of your day. We had SO much fun and felt so lucky to be there. You two are such a rad couple and we seriously want to hang out with you two again super soon! :) Enjoy your preview!!

San Juan Capistrano Engagement Photography - { Kayla & Eric : Engaged! }

Kayla and Eric are just straight up down to earth, fun, awesome people. Thats the truth.

When we first met over the summer I was SO excited about them. Their summer wedding plans sound so sweet and perfect, but more than anything I am pretty darn excited to just celebrate with these two at their intimate wedding. I cannot wait.

But I am clearly getting ahead of myself! So we met up and I photographed these two at Mission San Juan Capistrano , it was my first time shooting there (and hadn't visited since I was a kid) . I got there a little early after my drive and explored a bit....and I was floored. This place is packed full of amazing little spaces and TONS of beautiful texture! Needless to say, I had a bit of a field day! :)

I'm sure you remember Katie's maternity portraits on the lake from last month? Well I am so excited to report that sweet baby Jack is finally here! I went over to visit the Alexander family , and cuddle this sweet new addition, and snagged a few pictures while I was there.
Seriously, how much more precious could one little guy be?!

Hello friends! Can I just take a moment to express how giddy I am that it is officially fall!? This is by far, my favorite time of the year! November = the temperature lowering, scarves and sweaters, mine and my hubby's birthdays , lots of family portraits , Thanksgiving (how I LOVE turkey and mashed potatoes) , lots of baking, cinnamon sented everything, and the holiday vibe! Its just a magical time of year! And I have to say that showing off Ally & Mark is the PERFECT way to welcome in the fall! :)

From the moment I met these two, I knew that I just had to photograph their wedding! From the moment Strawberry Farms left her lips, to hearing about all the fantastic details she had in mind, and then their super sweet personalities - I knew that we were a match made in heaven! :)

I have had so much fun seeing all of Ally's adorable wedding idea pins on Pinterest, and I have to say that every singe one gets me SO excited for their wedding - I just wish I did not have to wait till June!

Los Angeles Wedding Photography - { Danielle & Ron : Married! }

I'm sure you remember Danielle & Ron from their fun LACMA engagement session.
I expected a beautiful, fun, elegant wedding after getting to know these two, but seriously....it was over the top perfection. Every single little detail was beautifully executed by the Orange Blossom Special Events team. By far one of the most beautiful weddings we have ever seen, and the day flowed just perfectly.

This post has a lot of images....like twice as many as usual. One reason is that this post is coming a little later than I would like to admit (but yay for being caught up from wedding season now!) , and mostly because this wedding was WAY too hard to narrow down favorites. You should see how many I started out with! ;)

Danielle & Ron, thank you SO much for having us photograph your amazing day. You two are so perfect together and we feel pretty darn blessed to be a tiny part of your big love story! Hope you enjoy you "little" preview! :)

Christy and I worked together at Knott's Berry Farm as park characters when we were in high school, and have been friends ever since! I was so excited to hear that she was engaged, and when I met Ben at a mutual friend's birthday dinner , I could not be any more excited - they are honestly such a perfect match. Ben and Christy are just so sweet together! I had so much fun walking around the park, and chatting wedding details with these two - can't wait till their big wedding next month!! :)

Tara and Ross got married at Beatitudes of our Lord Church and celebrated at the beautiful Segerstrom Center for the Arts . Ross is actually the executive chef at the Leatherby's Cafe Rouge in the Orange County Performing Arts Center there, and made the most exquisite menu. Honestly the best food we have ever had at a wedding, and probably some of the best food we have ever had period! Aside from the amazing food, every single detail was stunning! Sean and I had so much fun hanging out with this amazing couple, their friends & family, and capturing all of the amazing moments and details!

Orange County Family Photography - { The Brown Family! }

Seriously...how cute are these children!?

Their mommy Christine and I actually went to high school together, and after months of saying we were going to do these pictures - we FINALLY got together and did it! :)
It was so fun getting to follow these kiddos around the old train tracks, and explore an old train car that has been sitting in the same place for years now. Johnny LOVES trains, so it was the perfect place for him to go on an adventure. And of course, big sister Aurora was just as excited to get in on the adventure too!
Sweet baby sister Scarlett was such a beautiful, patient little thang. She did so well waiting for her brother and sister, and it was a fun end to the session by hanging out with her for some quiet time in the grass.

Christine has done the mall portrait studio thing in the past, so it was a nice change for her to let the kids have fun and just let them be kids ....because who wants to remember the time you went to the mall and tried to force the kids to be happy? Real memories , and fun adventures are just so much more fun to look back on! :) It was a fun day for all of us! :)

How do you even write a blog post about one of your favorite weddings ever!?

So I mentioned in Janelle and Tommy's engagement post that this sweet couple honestly made me love what I do even more, and the wedding was no different!!!
Its so refreshing to work with a couple so sweet, detail oriented, creative, loving, real, and of course beyond BEAUTIFUL. And to top it off, its easy to see that they love Jesus, their family, and friends - and they all clearly love them back. So its easy to say that we just adored this couple and their sweet families! :)

I could seriously go on forever about how much I just love Janelle and Tommy, and all if these amazing details....but I will let the pictures to the rest of the talking! :)

Fullerton Wedding Photography - { Lauren and Kevin : Married! }

So I just realized that it has been quite some time since I blogged a wedding. But that's not because we have not been busy. We have actually been blessed with our fair share of wedding this summer and I have TONS coming up for ya soon!! But it has been a little slow on here in the wedding department since our last couple weddings have been top secret couples ;)

Las Vegas Engagement Photography - { Vanessa & Joseph : Engaged! }

When Vanessa contacted me about wedding info, she said in her e-mail that she wanted to have her engagement session in Las Vegas. I was more than a little excited about that initail contact form, and it only got sweeter when I got to meet up with the sweet couple to chat about their big day! Vanessa and Joseph are as sweet as they come, and seriously fun! Fun fact: I actually went to high school with Vanessa , but we were never really in the same "circles of friends" ,so we did not really know each other!

Anyway! I tagged along with this fun couple to their stomping grounds , Las Vegas!! We flew out first thing in the morning, and I got home from the trip at about 1am. It was a long day for an engagement session, but it was seriously SO fun hanging out with these two sweet people, and talking Vegas by storm.

We got there and hit up their favorite restaurant, the Rio Buffet. So delish!! Then walked around a casino, and finally ended up at the Neon Boneyard at the Neon Museum. We had a bunch of places that we wanted to check out, and could have easily used a second day , but I think we did pretty darn awesome with our one day there! (although, we ALMOST missed our flight home , despite early to the airport - so a 2nd day was almost an option ;) )

Enough chatting! Vanessa & Joseph, thanks again, I had such a fantastic time hanging out at chatting with you two. I am so happy that we have become friends, and am SO excited for your big day! Hope you enjoy your little preview! :)

It was 110 degrees and we were all about to die in that dry desert heat, and bright afternoon sun - but Vanessa brought it! :)

So I HAD to add this fluke shot since Vanessa was giving Joseph such a hard time about being a fab model :) . Joseph, you can model for me any day ;)

I mentioned that it was crazy hot already....so after the session we were waiting for a long time for a cab to come (since our scheduled guy forgot about us). As we were sitting there talking about how crazy the heat was and trying to find some shade, the heavens opened up, and the magical tune of the ice cream man came out of no where! It was quite literally, music to our ears! Joseph ran over and got all of the ice cream man's waters and saved the day! :)

Vanessa and Joseph tried to teach me how to play the slots....you can't go to Vegas and not play a little! ;)

San Diego Engagement Photography - { Stephanie & Louie : Engaged! }

When I met Stephanie and Louie for the first time , we chatted a little business....but mostly , we kinda just hit it off as friends from the get go. I think our meeting was over 2 hours long as we chatted about everything that we had in common. Its easy to say that these two are so cool, down to earth, and just fun to hang out with! Stephanie and Louie booked me quite a while ago, so I was pretty darn excited to finally get to hang out with them again! I met up with them in the Gaslamp Quarter in San Diego, and we walked around and hit up a bunch of super fun places - including Petco Park , a sweet bar, The St. James Hotel roof top, and took a little trolly ride (there was a small fear that it would possibly take us to Mexico with out our passports, but luckily we only went down one stop and it brought us back ;) ).

Stephanie and Louie - I had a fantastic time walking around with you two, I can't wait till your big day in October! :)

Orange County Portrait Photography - { Bff's! }

Vidi e-mailed me a few months ago and told me about her best friends, and how they would love to do a little portrait session together. Sounded like so much fun, and it so was!

It was pretty cool to take a little break from weddings and get together with these fierce girls! We met up at Los Coyotes Middle School - where most of these ladies first met (how fun is that!?) , and finished up at a nearby park (some of my faves from the day!).

Lauren and Kevin are such a cool, down to earth couple - and I am so excited to shoot their sun flower themed wedding next weekend!

Janelle and Tommy started off as high school sweethearts and are now getting ready to tie the knot!
We are SO excited for their big day! Janelle and I have talked a lot about her upcoming wedding, and I know that she has put so much thought and love into all of the vintage details , and there are no words to describe how much I am looking forward to it!

The engagement session was just as exciting for me too! Seriously , I could have died over all of these perfect little details! This session just reminded me of how much I absolutely LOVE my job! I still remember the day that Tara and her sister moved in a couple doors down from my family when I was little...I was SO excited to have some other little girls on my street! :) Since our days of running around the neighborhood together, then having classes together in high school ... Tara has now found the man of her dreams and is planning her beautiful wedding! Tara and Ross are just perfect together! And their upcoming wedding sounds like it is going to be perfect!!
Sean, Jordan and I shot their engagement session at Wilson Creek Winery & Vineyards in Temecula, and had a fantastic time! There were a bunch of cute little spots to shoot at there which we loved!... and of course Jordan loved the swings and the beautiful winery golden retrievers! :)

Portland Photography - { A fun family vacation! }

We took our very first little vacation as a family of 3 this past weekend, and it really could not have been any more perfect! Sean, Jordan and I went to Portland for the weekend , with no real plans in mind except checking out yummy restaurants , walking around, and a little (tax free) shopping.

Portland was everything I was expecting and more! It was literally as perfect as I could imagine a city to be... super friendly people everywhere we went, stunning architecture , fun little shops and restaurants , interesting antique malls, tons of beautiful trees and green everywhere, so eco-friendly, and that cozy sweater weather that I love - but what I loved most about it was the small town vibe in the beautiful city!

So I asked Sean how many pictures would be too many for this post. He asked me to look up the official rules of blogging. I informed him that there were not any (at least that I'm aware of)....and thats why there are over 50 pictures....enjoy ;)

The flight was great, Jordan did SO well! These couple pictures are from my (terrible) point and shoot, but I thought Jordan's expression was too cute not to post. This was when Sean was coming back to his seat , and Jordan was SO excited he screamed (the only time he raised his voice while on the flights , I might add).

The first night there we ate at Bridgeport Brewery and it was SO tasty, and pretty dang adorable (again, forgive the yucky point and shoot shot).

Jordan seriously loved the HUGE bed in the hotel!

On Saturday morning, we got up and went to the Portland Saturday Market. I have to mention that there was a dude that would carve your face onto a garden gnome for $9. I was SO excited! (and then we wondered later why the heck we did not do it!...next time for sure!)

Elephant Ears and Fruit Iced Tea's ....the most perfect breakfast next to the port at the market!

Jordan made an interesting friend there too!

Voodoo Doughnut...tripple yum!: This place was seriously fun! (the 20 people in line would also agree). Just do yourself a favor and check out their doughnut menu on their site. Then just try to resist checking this place out. You wont be able to....and then your belly will be SO happy. :)

How could you not thoroughly enjoy a bacon maple bar? Seriously!

Sean and I both got The Reggie (Fried chicken, bacon & cheese topped with gravy)...we had to resist not going back the next day. Too much delish on one plate!

On our last day we had lunch at the (oh-so-adorable) Cloud Seven .

We had some yummy hot tea (that made me warm to the soul) , ham and cheese sandwiches, and a side of sweet potato peanut soup (amazing!) . The food in Portland is just amazing. Period.

Our trip was nothing short of perfect! I feel like we got to see so much on our day and a half there (even though we had nothing planned at all). We got the city, the forrest, the burbs, parks, mountains, the whole nine! Portland will always hold a very special place in our heart and we will FOR SURE be back soon! :)

You know my sweet friend Brooke that I just blogged about? Well, you know how I said she is an AMAZING wedding coordinator? Well I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to photograph her fab team. Orange Blossom Special Events is a fantastic event coordination company that does everything from day of coordination and keeping every thing on schedule and going perfectly, to taking care of the whole planning process for you. Any way you go about it, I would HIGHLY suggest reaching out to Brooke, Christy, and Theresa to help make your big day everything you dreamed it would be!
If you are one of our couples, or if we have ever met and chatted about your wedding, I've probably told you to only book vendors that you love, and that you will be excited to work with on your big day. I wholeheartedly believe this. With that in mind, I would only suggest people that I would personally want to use as part of my own wedding, and in turn, will suggest to you! And Brooke and her team are the only ones I would suggest for the job...they are not only amazing at what they do, but they are beautiful, sweet as sugar , and fantastic vendor-buddies turned friends! :)
Okay, so I know this is getting pretty wordy, but I just have to say that I could have DIED over this amazing location! Exposed brick galore, chandeliers, shabby chic furniture, a sweet little courtyard , a rad fireplace, the most amazing light you have ever seen, and so much more! I told Melissa (who manages the venue) that I was ready to move in if she would let me. It was perfection, and I hope to work there tons in the future!

Okay so I have raved about my friend Brooke before. She runs Orange Blossom Special Events and is an amazing coordinator. Not only is she great at making sure weddings go off with out a hitch, but she's also the sweetest friend! I am so happy to say that after working with her, we got to be pretty close and I just LOVE all of our lunch dates, and time we get to spend together. You may remember when I photographed Jacob exactly a year ago. Welllll....he is now a big brother!

Josephine recently had sweet little Jolie, and I was so excited to take some pictures of her!

Jolie was not quite as sleepy as we may have wanted to get those cozy shots, but she gave us just enough shut eye to get a fun handful of pictures! :)

Jordan is 9 months old!

Jordan is already 9 months old! Can you believe it!?
He is one busy little man and makes every single day fly by!

Big things that have happened recently:

He crawls, and climbs, and he's fast, and gets into everything. (how I am not back to my pre-baby weight by now by chasing him around?...I have no idea!)
He now has 4 big teeth! :) (with more on their way)
He LOVES his momma and has MAJOR separation anxiety. :/
He is picking up more random words.
He pushes a ball back and forth with dad.
He gets such crazy air when he's jumping in his crib, that it has now been moved to the lowest level it can go. (he's getting too big!)
If there is any music on...on a commercial, on the radio, a tv show, in the grocery store, anywhere, any time...he dances. Bouncing, hands in the air, big smile, the whole thing. It's pretty awesome.

This hat is a little big (size 1-3 years), but it was too adorable to not take a few pictures of! I'm sure you will see it plenty more in the next couple years when it fits a little better ;)

Fullerton Engagement Photography - { Paul & Crystal : Engaged! }

So Sean and I have known Paul for years! We went to high school together , and since we were in the same circle of friends, we may or may not have partied a few times together. I have plenty of themed party pictures that I could share here, but I am going to hold off ;).

Not too long ago, when I would stop by Starbucks on my way to my former job, my favorite barista (Paul) would be there to welcome me. And every single time, I would ask if he was engaged yet (since I knew it was coming soon) , and FINALLY he was! Now I finally got the chance to meet this sweet lady that I had heard so much about...and let me say, Crystal is just as sweet as she is beautiful! So excited for them!

Paul and Crystal met in class at Cal State University Fullerton, and I am so happy that they decided to really put themselves into their session, and do their engagement photos there too!

Paul & Crystal - I had a ton of fun shooting your engagement session and am so so excited for you two! Although I wont be shooting your wedding photos, I honestly cannot wait for the big day! :)

Los Angeles Engagement Photography - { Danielle & Ron : Engaged! }

What's up everyone! This is Sean and this would be my first blog contribution, so be kind! ;)

Our latest engagement session was too amazing for words! From the Berlin Wall, to the diner used in Pulp Fiction, to the wonderful LACMA (L.A. County Museum of Art), to checking out the Green Hornet car, we did it all! What's even better, is it was all on the same street :) Leave it to L.A. for that type of experience right?!

Our newest couple Ron and Danielle were the ideal peeps for this shoot too. They probably love the L.A. look as much as I do. Ron went to UCLA (Go Bruins!!!) and then went on to become a lawyer, and Danielle got her Art history degree from Wisconsin (Badger Fever anyone?), so you know there was a little rivalry picture in there somewhere.

Ron proposed to Danielle at a picnic at the Santa Ynez vineyard, so we all thought to ourselves, why not recreate it and celebrate some more!

Jordan is 7 months old!

So Jordan is 7 months old. How? I have no idea...but he is, the calendar says so - so I guess its true (I still don't get it though!) .

A few new things he's up to these days:

He crawls backwards.
He has two teeth.
He screams (loud).
He makes monster noises/growls, and thinks its hilarious.
He says: mommy, mama , dada , yeah, and Haaaaaa (his version of Hi).
He pulls himself up all the way
He holds on to his crib rail , jumps like a crazy, and gets serious air.
He wont let me put him down all of a sudden... and if I do, all I hear is "MMAAAAAAMMAAAAA!!!"....my back is seriously hoping this phase passes super soon!
He laughs at everything. When some one else laughs, when the dogs walk by, when he thinks something is funny on TV...just randomly, whenever basically.
He loves squash , but hates pears.
He is crazy loud at home, but silent around people he doesn't know.

Fullerton Engagement Photography - { "Super secret couple" : Engaged! }

So Sean and I recently shot an engagement session, and it was awesome. We're talking, like really awesome. Super sweet, adorable couple, with HOT chemistry in front of the camera to boot.
But, I am a little bummed to say that I can't share all of the hotness with you. Why? Well because they are a top secret couple. Secret agents? Maybe. Russian Spies? It's a possibility. But regardless of the reason, I just cant share too much with you (but I SOOOOO wish that I could since they were some of my faves ever!) .

A family trip to the Renegade Craft Fair

Recently we went to the Renegade Craft Fair in LA. I have been wanting to go to this awesome craft fair since before they even had it in LA, so I was pretty stoked when both Sean and I had a whole day off together and got to check it out.

We grubbed on some tasty food truck lunch, and walked the fair. There were honestly some of the most awesome and creative things I’ve ever seen there. They really choose some awesome vendors to show! I got a few little things, a sweet little ring from Verameat, a fun camera necklace, and a couple awesome Christmas gifts from The Poster List.

We have some big news!

Hi friends!

So as I sit here to share my big news, I am excited, really excited. But I am also extremely nervous. Not about sharing my big exciting news, but because life is changing BIG TIME for our sweet little family! And what big changes are not scary? But that’s what life is about, like REALLY LIVING. It’s about taking chances and reaching for your dreams. Well, I have been reaching for quite some time now, but now its time to grab…grab and hold on tight – because we are about to take one wild and exciting ride.

Over the past few years I have been working hard to build this business. A little “husband and wife photography team”…now turned “family business” with the addition of our sweet little boy. What did this business mean for us? I’m going to be honest with you. It has been kinda hard…just like any new business, I’ve put in a lot of time, and dreams, and constant brainstorming, and e-mailing, and networking, and editing….lots of editing. All this along with a full time job. Sean also works full time and goes to school full time. And now, we have a baby. So you can imagine how hard it is some times to keep up our little “family business”, along with our crazy personal lives. And then we were having some struggles trying to figure out how we can spend all the time we can with our baby during this important time… But with tons of work, and crazy schedules, it was a little frustrating. But we prayed, we prayed A LOT. And we thought about it till we could not think about it any more. And Sean said “You are quitting your job. Your quitting your job to stay home with Jordan, and your going to be a “full time” photographer” ….well, it was something along those lines ;) . But the words were scary. The words are scary. But they needed to be said, it needed to be done. So ladies and gents. That is my big news. You, my amazing friends and clients - have me 100%! Well, ya know…after I spend as much time humanly possible with my adorable baby boy, and amazing husband ;) .

I obviously have wanted to be a full time photographer since the beginning. And I am so glad that this dream has become a reality. It is time to take this to the next level, baby! :)
So on that note, I need your help. Yes, you. You know some one getting married…maybe having a baby, probably some one graduating high school….these people, they need their picture taken.
And us? well we want to do it. We REALLY want to do it! So help us out , yeah? We will make it worth your time, promise! Just make sure to tell your friends tell us that you sent them!

And let it be said. Don’t put off your dreams people. This might sound cheesy…but I can’t tell you how amazing it is to know that I am 100% doing everything I absolutely love. The thought of spending all of my time with my baby, and taking care of the most amazing brides and grooms, and actually getting to see my friends….I could not ask for anything more! :)

Whittier Baby Photography - { Welcome to the world Avery! }

So this post is kinda late...who whoulda thought that having a baby, and working all the time would push a few things back? ;)... but better late than never right?

Tracy is a fellow photographer, who takes beautiful photos! Over the past year, Tracy and I have become good friends, and I have absolutely loved watching her little baby bump grow. She is such a beautiful woman already, but she just looked so radiant carrying little Avery in her belly. But I have to say; I sure love Avery more now that she’s on the outside! ;)

Tracy and I both went to the same obstetrician, delivered at the same hospital, and now our babies are both seeing the same pediatrician. So it’s pretty exciting to share our experiences and go through all of this (pretty much) at the same time. I think it’s such a special thing to share! :)

I stopped in for a super quick visit at the hospital to see Tracy , her husband, and brand new beautiful baby girl – and snapped a few pictures while I was there!

Jordan is five months old! Its crazy how fast it has gone so far - we have had a lot of learning experiences and SO much fun! Sean made this sweet video to show just a few of them, and some fun moments so far.

A sweet day of mini portrait sessions!

So this past weekend we had our very first holiday mini sessions! It went fantastic, and we could not have asked for any more beautiful weather!

I have always strayed away from mini sessions in the past – because I hate to limit my clients with time. I know that some times kids have their own agenda for the day, and some times naps and feedings just can’t wait. So usually, I show up to a portrait session, hang out with the kids for a while (so we are buddies and having fun together), then just take pictures till I feel like I have everything I want. But with mini sessions, we are on a bit of a time restraint since the next family will be showing up ready for their photo time. I did give myself a good buffer luckily…but I still very much wish I had more time to hang out with these super sweet families! But I am excited to say that we did pretty great with our limited amount of time! :)

Holiday mini-sessions!

Hello friends!

I hope the holidays are not sneaking up on you too fast, and that you are enjoying fall scented candles and starting to bring out the holiday decor! I know I start my count down nice and early, and embrace the holidays as much as possible! And now with it being Jordan's first holidays, I could not be any more excited!

So of course this time of year means that its time to get together for the annual family photo! If you are not a “regular” BNP client, than I think its time for you to shed the matchy white t-shirts and jeans, and get together for a fun session – one that really truly shows who your family really is right now. Wear something fun, and lets leave the stressful retail store sessions behind!

Now we are just about reaching the end of our holiday portrait session season (...yup, already!), but it’s not too late for you to get in on the action! For the folks that waited a little too long, or just did not have the funding for a full session with us this year – we have a fantastic deal for ya!...

We are offering holiday mini-sessions for the first time this year!

What are mini-sessions? They are 30 minute portrait sessions at a pre-selected location in north orange county (exact location will be e-mailed to you once your time slot has been confirmed). After the session, you will receive about 15-20 edited images on a web gallery, from there you can choose your 2 favorite images, and we will e-mail you the digital files so that you can make your own holiday cards wherever you would like! But of course, you are more than welcome to order cards from us for an additional charge .
How much will it cost? These special holiday mini-sessions are only $100! Oh, and if you refer a friend that also books a mini-session as well for the same day, we will take $10 off for ya! (just make sure they tell us you sent them!).
When is it? The session will be on Saturday November 27th, 2010. If that date fills up, we will be setting up 1 more day, so let me know if you are not available on November 27th , but are still interested!
How do we get signed up? We are offering 30 minute time slots all day, so e-mail us at Blair (at) BlairNicolePhotography (dot) com and we will let you know what is still available!

Happy Halloween!

Even though it has been 8 years, October is always a hard month for me. It’s hard to be positive and only remember the good times with some one you have lost, when there are Halloween decorations everywhere. Let just say the tombstones and RIP signs (etc.) are not quite as fun for me, as it is for most other people.

And now with my sweet little boy in the mix, it just makes me think about how much my dad would have absolutely adored him. I know that he would want to spend every waking second with him, playing with him, singing and dancing in the car, having long heart to heart conversations, and spoiling him – because that’s just the kind of guy he was. He was honestly the best, most supportive person I have ever met , and I was so lucky to have him in my life for almost 17 years – I just wish that Jordan could have known him for a little bit too, to know how amazing he was...

But, on a happier note – Halloween is instantly a much better time of year now. Why, you might ask? Ummm because of Jordan of course! ...lets be honest, everything is better with Jordan! ;)
Now, I get to look forward to dressing our sweet little guy up for the holiday, and soon enough, all the excitement he will have for it!

To celebrate Jordan's 1st Halloween we headed over to the pumpkin patch for a little family picture action.

I am literally obsessed with his adorable knit pumpkin hat from this sweet Etsy shop Ruby and Mabel Happy Knits , Jacy is so sweet and easy to work with. She made it custom for Jordan's noggin. You will be seeing lots more of her adorable hats on here!

What can I say about Candace and Sean? They are so fun and laid back!
Candace is honestly one of my favorite brides ever. She is so sweet and so encouraging, her and Sean are people I would truly always consider friends - they are very genuine people. They are just the type of people that you really want in your life, and I think we are pretty lucky to have had them find us!

We had SO much fun at Candace and Sean's wedding! Everything ran so smoothly with the help of Brooke with Orange Blossom Special Events , the food was AMAZING, the music was so fun , and the day was just full of love. And once again (just like their engagement session) , Candace and Sean really put themselves into every detail of their big day!

I cant get over how beautiful Candace is!

Anaheim Family Photography - {Carrie , Jon & Jack}

I now know from experience how important it is to really make sure to have pictures taken of your baby as much as you can. Pictures of you being a family.
The time just slips away, wayyyy too quick! I have been constantly taking pictures of our baby, since I know how much he is changing from one day to the next.
I feel so blessed to have our first family pictures with my family, and I feel equally blessed to be able to do the same for other families!
So people, if you have been putting it off or if it has been a while since you have had some family photos taken, now is the time!
…alright, so enough of my lecture about having family pictures taken, and on to the goods!

You probably remember my beautiful client Carrie from her fierce bridal portraits. Well a month ago, Carrie and her husband Jon became parents to a perfect little boy, Jack.

On Sunday I headed over to Carrie and Jon’s adorable apartment. We chatted, and I took my time taking pictures of their beautiful family. Jack was such a sweet little baby to take pictures of, and together the 3 of them make a beautiful little family!

Happy 3 month birthday Jordan!

Dear Jordan,

Happy 3 month birthday! The time has seriously flew by faster than I could have ever imagined.
This morning after your bottle , you were standing on my lap , leaning on my chest - doing little baby squats. Only stopping to give me flirty little smiles, and to chat a bit with your sweet little coos.

I know every parent thinks their baby is the greatest, but really....you are. It could be the mommy hormones, but every day (at least a couple times) , you smile at me while doing something amazing and I instantly get teary eyed. You are honestly amazing.

A few things that make my heart beat a little faster on a daily bases:

They are not just smiles, they have beautiful little sounds to go along with them. They are shy and sweet. They are so you, and so perfect.
At only 3 months old, rolling over is a thing of the past. Now you are on a serious mission to crawl, and sit up. Jordan, you are 3 months old!....and probably the smartest baby ever! ;)
You now laugh out loud. Simply amazing!
You kick like nobodies business! You sit in your bouncy seat and bounce like crazy with the most excitement ever!
You love TV. At first we thought it was cute that you tried so hard to see the tv when it was kinda out of your view.....but now you have defiantly proven to be your fathers child. You already cant get enough of it, and it makes me feel like a stellar parent ;)

There is so much more that I love about you. I could go on forever.

But the most beautiful thing so far is that you are the best baby ever. You never get upset, you are full of smiles and love.

I am so bummed that I have to go back to my day job soon, but I am so happy that we get to leave you with friends that love you so much.

So Jordan, please slow down - you are growing way too fast and I love you just the way you are! :)

Redlands Day After Wedding Photography - { Janeth & Diego : Married & so in love! }

When you get to write three blog posts about the same couple.... you know youve got something special! :)

I just declared my love for Janeth and Diego in the last post, so I will spare ya for now.

When we shot Janeth and Diego's wedding, we decided that we might as well spend the night since it was not super close to home, we would not be done till a little later, and would be shooting them the next day too..... besides, who doesn't LOVE staying in pretty hotels! ;)

Its safe to say we had very different nights after their wedding. We went back to our hotel room and watched South Bound and Down , and cuddled with our 4 week old baby (who had been with my in-laws during the wedding) in a very big cozy bed. And Janeth and Diego partied late into the night with their friends, celebrating their amazing marriage.
But in the morning we ended up in the same place, we walked next door and shot some pictures of J+D fresh out of bed. It was short, sweet, intimate and perfect.
